Darius Fisher is the current president of Status Labs. He is also the companies co-founder. Status Labs is an example of innovation, one of many companies to take advantage of new technology in interesting ways. Status Labs can be described as an online reputation manager, serving around 1,500 clients in 35 different countries. What service do they provide exactly? They use various online channels to spread positive opinions on their clients and counter act the dissemination of false or negative information. This helps insure that when a consumer types the name of a company or individual what pops up in the search results are positive, relevant information about the client’s platform or business goals instead of harmful rumors or rampant online speculation. Fisher’s company does all this with a relatively small staff of thirty employees, based in Austin, Texas.

Fisher maintains that his company is about giving people a second chance at first impressions, allowing both individuals and companies the ability to manage their digital footprint and cultivate a positive online persona rather than be subjected to outside sources. In business a bad reputation can be crippling, both publicly and financially. As Fisher himself says, “As an executive or a business owner, what shows up in your search results affects your bottom line, and while you can’t completely control your digital footprint, you can positively impact your online presence.”

Fisher explains his business model by using the popular saying, “There are two sides to every story.” His company is devoted to allowing clients a chance to present their side of the story to the online public. Outside of his work for Status Labs, Darius Fisher works hard to raise awareness among the business community of the importance of a positive online presence. Before speaking at the Impact 15 conference in Las Vegas, he claimed,” the first page of a of a Google Search result is the new first impression,” before exploring several case studies involving clients who had needed to improve their online perception.

Darius Fisher graduated from Vanderbilt University and worked both as a Political Consultant and as a Copywriter before his co-founding this new online enterprise.
